The Oatmeal is a blog I could see myself following because I could see myself creating similar comics, I was always drawing a little something on my notes or handouts all throughout high school . In this particular blog, everything from thoughts and stories are shown through comics which are illustrated by the writer of the blog. The art style is simple but, it has a certain humor about it which gives it it's own charm. The page consists of a collection of comics that are made to keep the reader entertained; however the writer does insert an idea or thought he is trying to get across in some of his works, so not every post lacks purpose.
Hyperbole and a Half was the second blog I looked through. Pleased with the previous blog, I decided to continue looking through other blogs that were included above and below.Categorized as humorous, this blog also features many drawings from the writer, but the difference in artistic ability and simply the amount of effort are clear. I later learned that this female artist's tool of choice is the track-pad. . . . . and on top of that the drawings in the blog look like they were created using Microsoft paint, those images are then recycled through. Still the writer accomplishes what she intends to by telling and illustrating personal experiences that hold an amount of sentimental value, clearly directed at the readers emotions. I would think that more than likely the majority of returning readers are women.
LA Music, I chose to review in order to see an example of what a music blog consists of. I enjoyed the time I spent looking through this blog because the content was broad not as typical as you would assume, the page was well organized and had all the bells and whistles. Like I said,.there are surprising amounts of genre variety offered on this blog, and one thing that impressed me more than anything was the feature of a well maintained including of articles on artists out of the mainstream. With videos, interviews, contests and a concert calendar, this is one professional blog.

Who dis?
Well allow me to introduce myself, for those of you who want to know "who" you're reading. The name is Luis Molina, born and raised in the valley but, my heart is in the country. My hobbies in the outdoors include hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, archery, and when I can make it to an ocean, I spearfish. Even though I favor the outdoors, this blog will be about my life in the city because that's a different life out there for me, I am always at peace. While in the city, you can say I'm always out and about. Home is just a place to eat and sleep, making memories elsewhere and meeting new people interest me most. A club, a restaurant, a theater, is where you'll probably find me if I'm not taking your order at Wendy's. Seen a good movie lately? Ask me and I've probably seen it. Music, I am always bumping something, my favorite type would have to be real old school. Of course I love my own West coast but I prefer the groups and duos of the East; however, no one can forget that 3rd Coast aka the South. My favorites from there would be Snoop Dogg (now known as Snoop Lion) from the West, Redman from the East and for the South, Big K.R.I.T. As you can see that is why I chose what I did for this assigned blog in my English 102 class.
